Cleary University offers opportunity for no-cost tuition – The Livingston Post.com

With the Cleary Cougar Country Promise (CCP), many students can now complete a degree at the university for an affordable price.

“We recognize that college tuition and expenses can be overwhelming for families,” said Jeremy Walker, vice president of Enrollment Management at Cleary. “That is why we established the Cleary Cougar Country Promise, our guarantee to offer reduced rates on tuition.”

Students automatically are considered for the CCP when they submit a completed FAFSA, qualify for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship (MAS) and have an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) below $25,000. Many may be eligible for free tuition at Cleary.

Cleary offers the following four Cougar Country Promise award levels:

· Students who qualify for the MAS with a zero EFC are eligible for free tuition.
· Students who qualify for the MAS with a Pell-eligible EFC will pay a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $5,000 a year for tuition.
· Students who qualify for the MAS, are not Pell-eligible, and have an EFC up to 20,000 will pay a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $7,500 a year for tuition.
· Students who qualify for the MAS and have an EFC of 20001 to 25000 will pay a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $10,000 a year for tuition.

“Our dedicated team of financial aid advisors will work one-on-one with students to guide them through the process of securing the Cleary Cougar Country Promise award as well as other sources of funding,” Walker said. “Our goal at Cleary is to provide an exceptional education that is easily accessible and affordable.”

Michigan high school students graduating in spring 2023 and entering college in fall 2023 as a first-time, full-time student, qualify for the CCP. Students must complete the FAFSA before May 1 and list Cleary University to receive financial aid information. When students are admitted to Cleary and qualify for the MAS, they will automatically qualify for the CCP. No other applications are required.
