Mavelikkara: Three more have been arrested for deceiving by offering jobs with organizations including Devaswom Board and Beverages Corporation, and swindling crores.

The culprits are suspected to have swindled more than Rs 10 crores. As per the 44 complaints registered so far, Rs 3 crore has been fleeced. Ten accused have been arrested so far in connection with the job fraud case.

Kollam BSNL Staff quarters B 10 Febin Charles (23), Chettikkulangara Kannamangalam North Mangonath Aneesh (24) and Kadavoor Padmalayam P Rajesh (34) have been arrested yesterday.

Aneesh and Rajesh were arrested in the initial phase and were out on bail. They have been arrested again based on a fresh complaint against them, said Chengannur DYSP Dr R Jose.

As the fraudulence is of a large scale, Ernakulam DIG Neeraj Kumar Gupta directly leads the investigation. According to the Police, the information that has come out so far indicates that the culprits have swindled money assuring jobs with the Devaswom Board, Beverages Corporation, and Kayamkulam Spinning Mill.

Police suspect that the fraud would have happened in the name of job offers in other departments and organizations too.

Three Grade SIs were suspended last day after discovering that they had close ties with the culprits.

Finding medicines that are distributed through the Government veterinary hospitals only at the main accused’s residence also points to the clandestine ties the culprits have with the Government officials.

One accused suspected to have fled abroad

Police suspect that Chettikkulangara native Deepu Thyagarajan who had helped Vineesh in the fraudulence has fled from India.

The Police, who got information about Deepu once Vineesh was taken into custody, had tried to nab him, but in vain. The investigation team is exploring possibilities of issuing a lookout notice for Deepu.
