Helensburgh Royal Scottish Country Dance Society welcomes new members

  • by

Last Monday members of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society’s Helensburgh branch welcomed some new folk to its first ‘Come and Try’ sessions. They came with smiles and after a lot of laughter they left with even bigger smiles.

The branch’s second Come and Try session is this Monday, September 26, from 7.30-9pm in Helensburgh Parish Church Hall.

If you haven’t tried Scotland’s national country dancing and enjoyed its wonderful music before, why not come along and give it a go?

Dances are taught in small groups, not solo, so you can come on your own or with a friend.

You will be helped by a fully qualified and experienced teacher with other experienced folk on hand to help and guide you through and ensure that you enjoy all the fun and friendship that the group offers.

All you need to bring with you are soft shoes and a big smile.

Meanwhile, the branch’s regular classes start again for the new winter season on Monday, October 3 for beginners and others and on Thursday, October 6 for those with a bit more experience.

Both classes are held in Helensburgh Parish Church hall from 7.30-9.30pm.

For further information on both classes contact branch secretary Irene on 01436 810336, or by emailing [email protected], or Roy Bain on 07768 405120 (email [email protected]).
