The organizers of the 2022 InstallerSHOW say that the attendance of almost 10,000 visitors makes it the UK’s biggest exhibition for the heating, plumbing, electric and renewables sector
The event, taking place in Birmingham for the first time was also double the size, with over 300 exhibitors, and a wider brief, covering water and electric vehicles alongside HVAC, the group said.
The elemental content program, aimed at both installers and specifiers, for which H&V News was a media partner, covered a wide range of subjects from the Building Regs to hydrogen, heat pumps and heat loss.
H&V Awards headliner Wolseley provided the Installing the future. NOW! Theater, which allowed visitors to get hands-on with heat pumps, solar panels, underfloor heating, hydrogen boilers and energy storage.
Mike Costain, Managing Director of Installer said: “It’s an exciting time for the industry as we accelerate to Net Zero, and engineers are on the front line of this transition. We want to help them get hands-on with the latest innovations, learn new techniques and discuss the ideas to help futureproof themselves and their businesses.”
Visitor Ian Briggs, owner of IRB Heating said: “You’re going to find new technologies, you’re going to find new products, and you can talk to the manufacturers, so if you have any questions, they’ll give you all the information you need.”
Fellow visitor, Rachel Griffiths Gas Engineer for Flintshire Plumbing added: “As a woman attending the event it’s getting more normal to see us at these kind of things – the more we are here and the more people see us, the more normal it’s going to become over time and that’s the main reason…for why I come to this.”
The show returns to the NEC Birmingham on 27-29 June 2023
