Hollywood actress Kate Hudson’s latest range of activewear has been savagely mocked online, with users saying they have “many questions” about one design in particular.
The leggings, sold by Hudson’s activewear brand Fabletics, feature thigh, crotch and bum cutouts, revealing much more than they conceal.

And the leggings, which come in hot pink or black, aren’t cheap, retailing for around $A145.
But prices have already been slashed on the quirky leggings to around $27, with the brand saying it’s time to “gear up” for a new gym season.
On the brand’s website, a blonde model wears the leggings with a matching pink bra – and a pair of shiny, heeled shoes (just perfect for your next bout on the treadmill).
Appropriately, the leggings are called “The Spotlight Shaping A** Out Capri.”
When images of the bizarre item began to appear online, Twitter users went wild.
“I can’t believe these are so reduced,” one person joked.
“I’m going to look so good on the treadmill.”
“I think I might buy these myself, I want to look stylish on my walks around the village,” wrote another.
One perplexed Twitter user simply wrote: “I have many questions.”
“Is this outfit for real?” wondered one.
“Oh dear god,” exclaimed another.
Referring to the less-than-ideal workout shoes, one person said: “I have questions about the mules…”
But at least one person is a fan.
Singer Lizzo wore a pair as she danced in a video posted to her Instagram.
That prompted the brand to tag the leggings: “Made famous by Lizzo.”
“It’s made in shimmery-soft lurex and features a breathable mesh interior,” the website description states.
“Ready: supportive and flattering, all-round compression. Spotlight’s on you, b*tch.”
Some consumers who did buy the leggings found them to be not so supportive, or flattering.
“When I put them on, they had looseness in areas that were NOT flattering in the thigh area,” one customer wrote on the Fabletics site.
“The waistband was thin and offered ZERO compression and made the not-so-flat stomach of mine look WORSE.
“It is possible this style just wasn’t for me, but I feel like with an a** this great, it is almost impossible to make it look bad.
“These leggings, did just that. They were returned.”
Hudson’s team has not responded to the controversy surrounding the leggings.
