Man’s Car Detailing Hobby Becomes Job In Farmington

FARMINGTON, CT– Detail Garage has arrived in Farmington, offering classes, educational demonstrations and events to the local car community.

Michael Thadieo said he has been passionate about cars since he was a teenager.

As a stay-at-home dad for a few years, Thadieo, originally from Meriden, chose to pursue his passion and began detailing cars out of his garage.

Thadieo began his career in the local community by opening a Blimpie location before selling the franchise to spend more time with his family.

He then went into the insurance industry where he stayed for 10 years.

Taking time to stay at home with his children, Thadieo began to detail cars in his garage as a hobby that he has now turned into a business.

Looking for products for his customers, he came across the Chemical Guys brand, a product sold by Detail Garage.

While researching the company and its products, he discovered franchising opportunities with Detail Garage, a nationwide 80-unit car detailing brand.

He opened Farmington’s first location in the spring at 353 Scott Swamp Road and has plans to expand in the local community.

Thadieo’s Detail Garage location offers hands-on training sessions and demonstrations for those looking to take their hobby to the next level or those looking to get started in the professional detailing industry.

Locals can also come out to the monthly “Rides & Coffee” event to see the latest in cool rides, sip some coffee and try new products straight from the Detail Garage.

With more than 90 locations around the country, Detail Garage is a leading retail brand for automotive detailing enthusiasts.
