Newhouse Academy – part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust – has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching and Learning Assistant – TA2, to join our academy during this Autumn Term.

We are looking for a great practitioner who:

  • Possesses the qualifications detailed on the person specification document;

Our academy has been chosen as one of 50 schools nationally to gain £20m of government funding for building development, part of which will see a brand new suite of SEN classrooms.

Newhouse Academy is a comprehensive secondary school, situated close to the M60 in the town of Heywood. We work closely with our partner school, Hollingworth Academy, (an outstanding local secondary school); and are on a school improvement journey to deliver rising academic standards.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, working from 8.30am to 3.30pm with a 30-minute, unpaid lunch break

Salary: Actual salary = £14,353 to £14,640 depending on experience

Contract type: Permanent contract, term time only, which includes 3 days of training

Start date: Autumn Term 2022
