Who knew the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II would take this much of a creepy turn?

According to Newsweek, some online commentators are adamant that they heard the ghost of Princess Diana speak during ITV News’s coverage of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

The Queen’s funeral took place in London’s Westminster Abbey on Monday at 12:15 BST. The world witnessed roughly 2,000 guests attend the ceremony, where approximately 28 million viewers watched the funeral from the UK, making it “one of the country’s biggest ever TV events,” the BBC reported.

With the transport of the late monarch’s coffin through central London to the Wellington Arch, it was there the coffin was moved into a state hearse and taken to St. George’s Chapel, where the queen was laid to rest alongside her husband, Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021.

But the moment in question happened during the transport of the late monarch’s coffin when social media commentators believe they heard the late Princess Diana’s voice during the live coverage.

An anonymous social media user, @goulcher, posted the clip to Twitter, writing: “I’m obsessed with this what the hell happened?” The trending video has amassed over 2 million views and thousands of viewers are now spooked.

Per @goulcher’s clipITV’s viewers heard a “creepy” voice speak as the state heard the queen’s coffin carried out of London.

“Death is irreversible,” the voice whispered. “The fact that she’s trapped—” But before the voice could say more, a male commentator cut in.

“As you can see here in London, it is a lovely day,” he said.

Many pointed out that Princess Diana and the queen had a notably “strained” relationship, so it didn’t take much for Twitter commenters to believe that the late princess popped into the broadcast to say her peace.

According to the outlet, Newsweek reached out to ITV News for comment.

Do you believe it could’ve been some sort of human error or was it really the late Princess Diana speaking her mind?
