Perth man knocked over by ute after running into traffic on Canning Highway

A young Perth man has miraculously escaped serious injury after being cleaned up by a moving ute on a busy road.

The man, who was holding a bottle of orange Gatorade, was knocked off his feet when he ran into the vehicle on Canning Highway in Applecross.

The nasty incident occurred on the east-moving lanes of the highway, where the speed limit is 60 kilometers per hour.

It is believed to have happened on Saturday.

The incredible footage was shared on Reddit with the poster saying: “If this was one second earlier he would’ve had a very bad time”.

Others agreed it was a lucky escape and warned about crossing busy roads without checking.

“Glad he’s ok, but blindly running out in front of a bus was a very stupid thing to do. Hopefully, he has learned a valuable life lesson,” one person wrote.
