WILLMAR — As Christmas trees start to pop up in homes throughout Kandiyohi County, some of them will have some freshly designed ornaments, as excited children gathered to handcraft their very own gingerbread house ornaments.

During a craft event for tweens at the Willmar Public Library on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, participants chose their own designs and color schemes for tiny gingerbread houses, which consisted of miniature terracotta pots.
