Doha: Qatar University (QU) has announced the beginning of online admission applications on Sunday for those wishing to join the university for undergraduate programs in the Spring 2023 semester.
According to the timetable, online applications for students transferring from other universities to Qatar University, as well as second bachelor’s degree students will continue until October 12, while admission applications for new students, visiting students, and course studying students will continue until October 18.
QU Admission Department Director Lulwa Al Rubaie explained that among the requirements for applying is obtaining an average of at least 70 percent in the results of the General Secondary Certificate exams when applying to the colleges available for the semester/spring of 2023, which are the colleges of arts and sciences, engineering, management and economics, law, Sharia, Islamic studies, and education.
Al Rubaie stressed that admission to Qatar University depends on the principle of competition between applicants and that achieving the minimum requirements does not mean granting the applicant their first program of study choice, rather, students are accepted according to the capacity of each college separately. Additionally, the educational path at the secondary level will also be taken into consideration when applying to the university.
Al Rubaie added that submitting the admission application is done by filling out the electronic application on the official university website (apply.qu.edu.qa) and submitting the required documents.
Students can also choose to submit the required documents for male students in the Male Student Activities Building and female students in the Admission and Registration Building from Sunday to Thursday From 9 am to 12 pm.
She added that admission decisions for students transferring from other universities and second bachelor’s degree students will be announced on November 13, while admission decisions for new students will be announced on January 16, 2023.
