Two Roads crafts exclusive beer for Sound On Sound music festival

With a month remaining until the kickoff of Bridgeport’s Sound On Sound music festival, organizers have announced a one-off collaboration with one of the state’s largest craft brewers.

“Citrus Crush” is a collaboration between Sound On Sound and Stratford’s Two Roads Brewing. The beer is a citrus wheat ale brewed with orange peels, lemongrass and coriander. According to Alex Joffe, Head of Partnerships for Founders Entertainment, who is putting on the festival, the flavor profile is inspired by the surrounding area as well as the time of season of the festival.

“The good vibes and sweet sounds on beautiful Long Island Sound are where we drew the inspiration for this refreshing citrus wheat ale. Here’s to days and nights and the music that makes festivals magical,” the can’s description reads.

“Two Roads was one of the first companies that we met here, and started to build out the partnerships program for Sound on Sound. It became clear to us that there were creative minds on both sides of the table,” Joffe said. “Two Roads is our number one craft beer at the festival. It’s extra cool that we get to work with Connecticut based brands that have a strong affinity and reach in the region.”

The beer is currently for sale at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport. The cans also feature a QR code that people can scan to learn more about the festival.
